marriage and family therapist
Amanda Dishner, LMFT
I love having a wide variety of clients to engage all my interests and, well, it makes my life more fulfilling! I especially enjoy supporting families who have a child on the autism spectrum, working with individuals/families exploring gender and sexual identity, and helping adult children adjust to relationship changes with their parents. With an open mind, open heart, humor, and genuine passion, I encourage each of my clients to find their own path to a more balanced and satisfying life.
Therapy can be both preventative and healing and I believe it should be an integral part of everyone's self-care repertoires, helping us through the challenging times and the good times. When we take care of ourselves, we become better equipped to handle all of life - the ordinary and extraordinary. I provide a safe, unbiased, and judgement free place to grow and find balance. Just as in all aspects of life, there will be hard times in therapy. Reflecting, adjusting, and growing are difficult but rewarding, and I'll be there every step of the way. I will challenge you to live the life you want, directly and sugar-coated in unconditional empathy and humor.
