Amanda Dishner, LMFT
I love having a wide variety of clients to engage my many interests and, well, it makes my life more fulfilling! I especially enjoy supporting families who have a child on the autism spectrum, working with individuals/families exploring gender and sexual identity, helping adult children adjust to relationship changes with their parents, supporting people through grief, and strengthening loving partnerships. In short: encouraging self-care, healthy boundaries, and love. With an open mind, open heart, a little humor, and genuine passion, I will encourage each you to find your own path to a more balanced and satisfying life.
Therapy can be both preventative and healing and I believe it should be an integral part of everyone's self-care repertoires, helping us through the challenging times and the good times. When we take care of ourselves, we become better equipped to handle all of life - the ordinary and extraordinary. I provide a safe, unbiased, and judgement free place to grow and find balance. Just as in all areas of life, there will be hard times in therapy. Reflecting, adjusting, and growing are difficult but rewarding, and I'll be there every step of the way. I will challenge you to live the life you want, directly AND sugar-coated in unconditional empathy and humor.
